Double-layer Taco Salad




- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Brown 1 pound of beef and add taco seasoning packet.
- Add vegetables such as peppers, onions, olives, to the beef.
- Place pieces of 6 taco shells on the bottom of a casserole dish.
- Grate cheddar cheese onto taco shells.
- Place two-thirds of the beef on the cheese.
- Break 6 more taco shells and place on the beef.
- Grate more cheese and place more beef.
- Place dish in the oven for three minutes until cheese is melted.
- Add toppings, such as sour cream, salsa, and lettuce.
Serves 3-4. I was able to eat about half of it. Shown with orange pepper and sour cream, as we are out of the other optional ingredients.
