Rock Envy

Guitar Hero II came out yesterday, and some friends of mine have already unlocked every single song on expert. They are much better at it than I. However, I like to play it anyway, and realized that my messed up pinkies give me extra difficulty when stretching between the high and low keys. Now that number 2 is out, I think it might be possible to grab a version 1 controller, and mod it to have thinner buttons as higher frets. See the photoshop below:



I'm not sure how difficult this would be. There are plenty of mods out there already. There's also a third-party controller coming out with 10 frets, but it looks more like an unusable gimmick. Those tiny circle buttons are just too small, and still the same distance apart as the other frets. Mine would be full height buttons, but thinner to allow my pinky to make the stretch.

We'll see how much I get paid tomorrow, and if there are any used controllers for cheap.
