Mathematical Note

The Poincaré conjecture has been proven. This problem has been around since 1904, and was listed in the Millennium Prize Problems for a million dollar reward.

I thought I had heard of this million-dollar problem, but it turns out this was not the one I was thinking of. During my independent study senior year I used these in studying with my advisor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navier-Stokes_equations

i can't tell you what it all means or how we used it, because i have since replaced all that knowledge with airplane info. anyways, that's all i got to say about that

yeah... i am not partial to differential equations or continuous math of any kind, really. Discreet is my focus. Although, a million dollars would be a good bonus for being a nerd.
