I Hate Academic Writing

There are two kinds of writing:

1. Technical writing: includes user's manuals, technical specifications, and research papers.
2. Academic writing: includes book reviews, opinion papers, and pretty much anything with a required length.

For the past two years, I've done nothing but the first. Now, I need to write a book review and I have made it half the length required. I now need to inject 2-3 pages of absolute bull before I can hand it in. Personally, I believe I am thorough enough, have covered enough topics, and have fulfilled all parts of the assignment except the length requirement. I hate that.

I even read the book! No cheating! I READ IT!!!! Do you know what that means?

It means that doing good work isn't what is required. I hate general courses.
